Here's what we were working with - a long rural driveway that had seen better days. No real surface left to speak of, just bare dirt with ruts and uneven spots that made drainage a real problem. On a property like this, that kind of driveway doesn't just look bad. It gets worse every time it rains.

The fix started with reconditioning the base. We used the Harley rake to reshape the surface and get the grade right before anything else went down. That step matters more than people realize. If the ground underneath isn't properly shaped, whatever material you put on top won't hold up - it'll wash out, shift around, and you're back to square one in no time.

Once the base was set, we brought in fresh asphalt millings and spread them across the full length of the driveway and into the turnaround area up near the house. Millings are one of the best materials for a job like this. They pack down firm, shed water well, and hold their shape far better than plain gravel. And they look sharp doing it.

After spreading, everything got compacted down to lock it all in place. The finished surface runs clean and consistent from the road all the way up to the garage pad - no soft spots, no washouts waiting to happen. The circular turnaround near the house got the same treatment, giving the whole property a cohesive, finished look.

If your driveway is rutted out, washing away every time it rains, or just a muddy mess that never seems to dry out - this is the kind of work that actually solves it. Driveway reconditioning with asphalt millings is a practical, long-lasting fix that holds up on both long rural driveways and larger parking areas alike.
